Blarg

So it turns out I have Pertussis, or Whooping Cough. It's supposed to last about 6-8 weeks, so I'm down to 4-6 weeks left at this point. Fortunately I shouldn't be contagious any more, having survived the first couple of weeks. At this point mostly I'll have a horrible-sounding cough on and off for a few weeks, and I'll be generally weakened for a while.

Hopefully I won't be sleeping for 16-18 hours every night like I did last night. I just barely got up in time for a late dinner.

Whoa, didn't you get the vaccine for that when you were a kid? That's an ancient freaking disease man! But I am all sorts of jealous. Well, not really, but you know. Anyway, feel better, and if there's anything we at Apartment 1 can do for ya, let me know.

Well, the vaccine you get as a kid wears off eventually, or something. I know that you have to get your MMR and your tetanus shot every few years.

In any case, it's not fatal for adults like it can be for kids. I declined this morning to go hang out with my sister's and my friends who have a new infant though.
