- I got the key to my new apartment (#5) last night. But painting is going on through Friday, and it'll probably need a few days until the fumes subside enough that I won't get monstrous headaches. So sometime this weekend or next week I'll finally be moved in over there.
- However, the new apartment looks pretty sweet. New couches are a nice touch. And the bathrooms are more attractive. I think I'll have to abandon the idea of bringing one of the provided desks downstairs though. Too large. I can probably get an inexpensive build-it-yourself kit for not too much trouble though.
- The CS labs pretty much rock. Very useful, and a pleasant work environment.
- I had a job interview last Friday, down in the CAEDM labs in the Clyde Building - those are the engineering computing labs. It's the one for my second-place-ish option. That interview went well, and I just got a request for a callback interview with the boss of the guy I'd be working for. So I'm pretty sure I'll get an offer.
- However, I haven't been contacted yet by the Office of IT for the job I really want. I called them again today, and was told that the engineer in charge of the actual hiring should be contacting me shortly. I haven't heard anything other than that though. I really want to see progress on this front before I'm offered a position in the CB. Options are good.
- My apartment is really boring with everything packed away, and no internet. On the other hand, I'm not spending that much time there. I now live in the Talmage building.
- Speaking of internet, it looks like my option (*snicker*), is to go with Comcast cable internet. But it runs about $60 per month. And I'd need a router, so add another chunk of change onto that. Ouch. It wouldn't be so bad if I had roommates, but for just one person... blech.
- Classes are going well. I'm getting my coding groove back on. Which is good, because I'll be doing a lot of it. Calculus bores me, but I'll survive.
